Who we are

At House of Trixie Blue, we are fully committed to our ethos of providing accessible and inclusive entertainment, which impacts on our communication with you. We want you to be aware that we do not sell, rent or trade email lists with other businesses for marketing purposes.  Below is our privacy policy providing on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use your information, limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep your details secure.

Legal Basis

There are three bases under which we may process your data:

Contract purposes

When you sign up to purchase an event ticket/make an enquiry/professional performer contracts etc will ask for your name and email address and we may need to contact you regarding the course/event to disclose details with you and/or cancel.

 

Legitimate Business Interests

We use your details with regards to Google Analytics (see below) and create in house reports for statistics and this is only seen by the principal.

 

With your explicit consent

We may need to ask you for your consent for using your data if it does not fit into the category above.

Types of Data we Collect:

Website Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are automatically placed onto your device by some websites that you visit. We use cookies to identify how the website is being used and what improvements we can make.

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.newcastleburlesquefestival.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to send you regular information about Newcastle Burlesque Festival (House of Trixie Blue), to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information, to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

 

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at Info@houseoftrixieblue.co.uk  

Ticketing Data

When you purchase a ticket through our website, it is redirected to a third party ticketing site, Eventbrite.  Here is Eventbrite Privacy Policy  If you contact us to purchase gift vouchers, courses, additional events, workshops, we will ask for your name, email address prior to enrolment. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.

 

 

Events

At various events we will ask you to sign up to our mailing list with your first name and email.  This will then be transposed to Mail Chimp (see newsletters above).

 

Security of your Personal Information

We will put in place appropriate safeguards (both in terms of our procedures and the technology we use) to keep your personal information as secure as possible. We will ensure that any third parties we use for processing your personal information do the same.

Access to your Personal Information
